Karim Benzema facing uncertain future at Real Madrit

Karim Benzema
Karim Benzema started 29 of Real Madrit 38 games in La Liga last season as part of the 4-3-3 formation favoured by Carlo Ancelotti, but Benitez is planning to switch to a 4-2-3-1 with Ronaldo as the focal point...

That would see Karim Benzema relegated to back-up, something he is unlikely to be keen on leading up to Euro 2016, and could leave Real Madrit open to offers for the 27-year-old.

Karim Benzema finished last season with 15 goals and 10 assists, totals which were dwarfed by Ronaldo's tallies of 48 goals and 16 assists - and totals which have seemingly left Benitez's unconvinced by the Frenchman.

His feelings could open the door for Arsenal, who it was reported in Spain last week were considering a 25ml euros bid that would be enough to convince Perez to sell.

According to separate reports in Marca, Arsenal have formally enquired about signing young Barcelona winger Munir El Haddadi on a season-long loan deal.
